How to import your roster:

Importing is done from the "Edit Class" (new with IOS app v5.16) or "Add Students" screen, where there is an import button.

To get started quickly, you can import your students using two methods:
Method A: Plain Text (.txt)
Perfect for a quick copy-paste from a word document.
• Format: One student name per line.
• Example:
  ○ John Smith
  ○ Jane Doe
  ○ Michael Brown
Method B: CSV File (.csv)
Perfect for exporting from Excel or your school's grading system. The app is flexible and will look for the following headers (not case-sensitive):

HeaderDescription
First NameStudent's given name
Last NameStudent's family
"Name" or "Short Name"Full name (if First/Last aren't separate) or Short Name / Nickname for the seating chart
Middle NameOptional middle name
"Prefix"/"Suffix"Dr., Jr., III, etc.

Pro Tips for CSVs:
• No specific order required: The app matches the headers, not the column position.
• Missing Data: If a field like "Middle Name" is empty or the column is missing, the app simply leaves it blank.
Header Row: Ensure the first row of your CSV contains the names of the fields (e.g., "First Name, Last Name").
